The SSD is not recognized, please tell me how to recognize it

Hi,
I am connecting an SSD to the DriveAGX via PCIe, but it is not recognized.
I tried all four ports and entered the fdisk -l command in the terminal, and rebooted with the SSD connected but it was not recognized.
Some people were having the same problem, but they weren’t getting answers.

I’d like to know what the solution is.

Thanks a lot.

Hi @hirotaka.maruyama,
Have you considered the “High Throughput Recording” part in DriveWorks doc first? is that throughput not enough

Alternatively, Have you considered using the eSATA ports?
please also refer to the “Flashing SPI ROM Image for Marvell 88SE9345 PCIe SATA Controller” if needed.

The miniSAS ports is for extending the PCIe interface and were not meant for mounting SSDs to the Drive AGX as discussed here:

Thank you for reply.
We’ll connect the SSD to the DriveAGX via eSATA.
Also, if you know, I’d like to know the SFF-8639 - eSATA cable.

Hi @hirotaka.maruyama,

To use PCIe device on SATA connector require not only a simple cable but a bridge-cable.
To connect your SSD to the eSATA connector on the DRIVE AGX you’d need a SATA cable.

please close the topic if this answer you need.
thanks
