We do the cold run test at -40°C. The UART console from the ORIN NX indicates that thermal trip is enabled, and when we try to raise the temperature, the ORIN NX reboots by itself.
Thank you for your response.
We know that the operating temperature of the ORIN NX module is -25°C.
We would like to know what temperature can trigger the thermtrip function.
Do any documents mention the thermtrip function from the ORIN NX module?
Let me rephrase the question our client wants to know.
We found that when the Orin log reaches around -21 degrees, shutdownreq sends a low pulse, the system shuts down ,
Subsequently, the system automatically boots up, stops at the log entry “enabling thermtrip,” and after a while, boots up again, repeating this cycle continuously.
We would like to know what will be triggered at low temperatures.
for example…shutdown_req ,Under what conditions does it assert a low pulse?
and is there a retry or reboot mechanism once the temperature rises again?
Yes, just like the two situations mentioned on May 28, we couldn’t observe anything either.
Therefore, we would like to have more documentation or information regarding low-temperature protection, as we are trying to understand the behavior of shutdown_req and reboot.
