Thin-client screen flickers when using NVIDIA GRID vGPU
In our Horizon 8 environment we are using NVIDIA M10 Grid cards.
The vGPU profile is set to: M10-1Q that is having a maximum resolution of: 4096 x 2160 per Monitor
On the client side we are testing with this Philips Ultra Wide Monitor:
It runs on a recommended resolution: 3840 x 1200 (this lower than the M10-1Q maximum resolution).
On the thin-client (Dell clients with W10), the screen flickers when using this vGPU. The flickering is not constant, but completely random and sometimes even rarely. Of course we’ve checked lot’s of things (yeah replaced the cables also)
When we change the monitor back to 2 separate monitors (1920x1080) the flickering is gone.
I’ve found this KB article: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4113/~/end-point-monitor-%2F-thin-client-screen-flickers-when-using-nvidia-grid-vgpu
But this KB makes no sense in our case.
We are using the Horizon 8 client, with Blast (with H.264 decoding)
The ESXI drivers is: NVIDIA-VMware_ESXi_6.5_Host_Driver-430.67-1OEM.618.104.22.16898673.x86_64.vib
The Windows driver is 432.08_grid_win10_server2016_server2019_64bit_international
And we are running W10 20H2
Somebody any idea what can cause this random / rarely flickering?
