  2. Probe the MIPI signal to confirm the output.

Hi,

Looking at your overlay, the port indices 0, 2, and 4 seem to match the CSI A/C/E connections in your diagram and NVIDIA’s mapping.

One thing caught my attention: your table maps /dev/video0 to VC 0, but the log shows vc=3. The video devices may simply have been registered in a different order. Could you share the output of these commands to check which camera /dev/video0 corresponds to?

media-ctl -d /dev/media0 -p

I also noticed that vc-id is set in the sensor and VI endpoints, but is missing from the NVCSI input endpoints in the attached overlay. It may already be defined in the base device tree, so I would check that before making changes. NVIDIA’s documentation describes how these values should match the deserializer output.

As Shane suggested, a trace while streaming just one camera would help us understand where capture stops. You can follow the VI tracing instructions, using log level 3 for JetPack 7. Please share that trace and the full GStreamer output.

Looks like NVCSI/VI didn’t receive any data from the sensor.

You may need to probe the sensor output signal to confirm it match the MIPI signal.

I’m not sure what the problem is with the configuration. Normally, when there is no MIPI signal, the preview image should be a green screen or a black screen. But now, during the preview, a screenshot of the desktop appears directly.

I think you can verify the capture by “v4l2-ctl --stream-mmap -c bypass_mode=0” first.

Thanks for sharing the trace and media topology. We can see that the /dev/video0 is connected to sgx-raw 17-0023, so the vc=3 in the log appears consistent. Your diagram’s /dev/video0 to VC 0 mapping may need updating.

I agree with Shane’s suggestion to try a direct V4L2 capture. Could you share the command’s output and any new dmesg messages? The desktop showing in the preview window does not tell us whether a camera frame was captured. If V4L2 also receives no frames, it would help to check whether the MAX96712 is outputting the expected stream on CSI A, including VC 3.
