Trouble Connecting Firewire Camera to Jetson Xavier

Hey there,

I am looking to set up a firewire camera (Point-Grey Bumblebee XB3) on the Jetson Xavier but am encountering troubles.

When I run lspci, it correctly lists the PCIe card I have installed onto the Jetson:

Texas Instruments XIO2213A/B/XIO2221 IEEE-1394b OHCI Controller [Cheetah Express] (rev 1)

However, when I try to launch coriander, it states that a digital camera cannot be found on the bus.

These two topics seem to have had similar problems with the TK1 and suggest that the kernel requires some reconfiguration, however, I am not sure how to do this.

I am running R32.1 kernel source 4.9.140-tegra

Thanks for your assistance,
James

Bump… I am also trying to solve the same problem. Let me know if you found a concise solution… Thanks

Hey there,

I found this tutorial that works out how to reconfigure the kernel on a TK1. The process is practically the same for the Jetson, however, your download links in the wget statements will vary, and, when flashing, the device name will be jetson-xavier, instead.

Here is the tutorial on how to build a kernel:

If you have questions regarding it, I would be happy to help.
