Tuning display in UEFI stage

Hi Nvidia:
We’re working on AGX Orin 64GB + Custom board + 800x480 display resolution HDMI on UEFI combo “uefi-202409.1”, which is based on Jetpack 6.0.
AGX Orin Devkit + MST Board to HDMI can also reproduce the issue.
The issue happens during UEFI boot:

As you can see, it should display infos like Press ESC to enter setup, but just display broken frames.
We were trying to find the root cause, and see if we can fix it in UEFI stage. But so far, we can’t find anything useful in UEFI source code, like EDID parsing, power sequences, etc.

The display will restore to normal once the OS driver take the control, hence we think it’s an UEFI issue.

Hi,

This may not be fixed because the display in UEFI only has limit functionality. Also, it has lower limit of resolution and 800x480 may not be supported. It won’t be totally supported as same as kernel stage.

Also, display part driver code is not open source in UEFI stage.
