TX RX Waypoint

Thank You for the previous help @kpasad1 :)

We are a bit confused in creating a custom trajectory.

We did the following :

After dropping RU in the scene :
1. Deployed UE and selected Generate UE option in the toolbar.
2. Selected Edit Waypoint in the UE window and set it.
3. When Generate UE mobility is selected, a vertical line comes from the UE to the ground, different from the configured waypoint.
4. When simulation begins, the user just mmoves up and down and the animation repeats.

Are we missing something on that regard ? (Simulation time is 10 sec and interval is 1sec)

I have configured my waypoint to be a straight line in the given image.

But when I select Start UE mobility, this is the mobility generated.

Is it possible to set the first configured path for mobility ?

This seems to be the problem we are encountering.

Cheers

@shivshankar Did you press the “done” button? Can you add more points and confirm?

Is this proper configuring on our part.

You can see a light white line beneath the UE in the image.

Still it seems to be interested in vertical movement for some reason.

can you share a video? There is no vertical mobility. You can change the perspective to top view to check.
Is this tokyo.usd?

Yes, the scene is toyo_flat.usd

Apologies for the limited view.
We were unable to change it

Looks like your ground plane is accidentally deleted. Please start with a fresh map that has the ground plane.

Sorry for the late reply

We tried computing the waypoint in an entirely new scene

The first figure shows the configured waypoint for the simulation and the generated path after selecting the Start UE mobility

A closer look at the path generated which seems to be a bit curved

I have also attached the simulation configuration in terms of UE speed, duration and interval for reference.

@shivshankar The path charted out by the tool is a bit noisy. AODT 1.1 which will be released soon, will create a much smoother path.

Thanks kpasad,

One more thing I want to know is can we simulate some sensing scenario with this tools?.
Like I want to sense some human or object ?
Is it possible to give some velocity to environment object and can we relocate the position of environmental object?.

Thanks, and Regards,
Shiv Shankar

@shivshankar Unfortunately no. Motion of environmental object is not supported.

Any hope on AODT1.1 ?

Not in AODT 1.1. We will reach out to you to better understand the specifics and see if we can fold it in later releases.

Sure…
