TX1 is not booting up No display/response

Hi i flashed with latest new JetPack and it works :)
Thanks for your support and helping me each time…

Hello,

Not to revive a dead horse but sadly I have this issue and am on 23.2… Same issue. Hangs at boot if monitor is plugged in with following:

The monitor is a Philips Brilliance 170S, connected via HDMI → DVI adapter → Dual link DVI Cable → Monitor.

If the monitor is unplugged at boot the same section goes as follows:

[ 5.171739] tsec tsec: initialized
[ 5.174444] tsec tsecb: initialized

[ 5.282843] tegradc tegradc.1: fb registered

Then once I reach the logon screen (potentially earlier, haven’t tried), I plug in the screen. dmesg shows:

[ 144.007201] tegradc tegradc.1: hdmi: plugged

[ 144.492666] tegradc tegradc.1: first frame flipped [158960377]us

And I get VGA on screen. Running a script to change resolution results in full resolution and the following dmesg:

Pretty sure the EXT4-fs comments are not related.

Thoughts? It is frustrating having to always unplug the monitor…

First, see if the nVidia-specific files are in place:

sha1sum -c /etc/nv_tegra_release

If that passes, install packages “read-edid” and “edid-decode”. After you’ve unplugged and re-plugged…whatever is needed to get the display connected without the system failing…check this:

get-edid | parse-edid
get-edid | edid-decode

Hi linux dev .actually I am receiving no response when I connected the Jetson tx1 to my hdmi supported tv screen .
I am using my LG tv as a monitor for the Jetson tx1.what can I do in order to see the Jetson booting up and see the linux desktop .?

By far the easiest way to find out what is going wrong is via the serial console. See this for information:
http://elinux.org/Jetson/TX1_Serial_Console

If the video is the only thing wrong, then the alternate access would be via ssh. Can you ssh in?

If there is some means of access, does this file exist?

/sys/kernel/debug/tegradc.1/edid

If it does exist, what is the output of its content:

cat /sys/kernel/debug/tegradc.1/edid

It sounds like your cabling is pure HDMI with no adapters…can you verify if this is correct?
