Tx2 4GB Boot Issue (Custom Carrier)

Hi,

We are bringing up a custom carrier board for the Tx2 4GB. We have achieved power up using the auto power-up method and when we use FORCE_RECOV to boot into recovery mode we see the micro USB L4T device appear on our host PC - we know that this functionality is correct.

When we do not boot into recovery mode we do not seem to boot correctly. Unlike when we boot to recovery mode we are seeing the 1V8 power rail drop every 10 seconds (briefly) then return. We do not see any USB device mount on our host PC in this case. We are expecting that our Tx2 4GB module should boot through to ubuntu because it has been flashed using the SDK Manager and verified using a Tx2 C02 development carrier card.

We also attempted to insert a Tx2 (8GB) module into our custom card and we see the same behavior as Tx2 4GB (Recovery Mode OK but regular boot fails).

We are quite limited in the amount of debug information we can obtain (no UART) so we are wondering if anyone help us identify what we are missing. Our assumption was that once we power up the module it would boot from eMMC but we suspect that there is more we have to do.

Thanks,
Connor

There is no update from you for a period, assuming this is not an issue any more.
Hence we are closing this topic. If need further support, please open a new one.
Thanks

Is there any HDMI output on your carrier board? or any other interfaces there that can interact with board?
