TX2 Cloning

My core board is fixed inside a machine with custom board, i can’t connected to a remote PC over USB and entered into recovery mode, so I can’t use “sudo ./flash.sh -r -k APP -G backup.img jetson-tx2 mmcblk0p1” to clone my tx2.

so i want use “sudo dd if=/dev/sda1 of=/backup/location/filename.img” to clone tx2 system.
When I use “df” command to fine which partitions need i to clone, I can only see /dev/root. but /dev/root can’t clone.

1 Can dd back up a system? if can how to use “dd” clone tx2?
2 Is there any ohter way which can clone tx2 for me?

please help me thank you very much^_^

hello wm18822827507,

I’ve never tried with dd commands for cloning process.
however, some experience shows that we could update kernel and device tree partitions with dd commands. it’s worth a try to pull your system image out for verification.

you should also refer to xml files for partition layouts.

suggest you check the partition labels with below commands, then using dd commands to back-up them.

$ ls -al /dev/disk/by-partlabel

good luck!
