Tx2 Jetpack4.2 do not support yuv422 8bit input.

I have a 4k30fps video connect to tx2 mipi csi-2 port ab,some of dts code as fllows

active_w = "3840";
active_h = "2160";
mode_type = "yuv";
pixel_phase = "uyvy";
csi_pixel_bit_depth = "8";

and I got bellow error when sensor probe:

[    3.486667] extract_pixel_format: Need to extend formatyuv_uyvy8

Could someone give the patch to me for format yuv_uyvy8?

may I know which JetPack release you’re working with.
you may also review the support format types in camera_common_colorfmt[].
for example,
$l4t-r32.2/public_sources/kernel/nvidia/drivers/media/platform/tegra/camera/camera_common.c

you should also extend support formats in extract_pixel_format() function calls,
for example,
$l4t-r32.2/public_sources/kernel/nvidia/drivers/media/platform/tegra/camera/sensor_common.c

we don’t validate 8-bit sources,
