TX2i: Network Tests Register

Hi,
for an Ethernet check according to IEEE norm with and LeCroy SDA, we need the register set for the tests modes. We’re using an NVIDIA Jetson TX2i SoC and didn’t get a clear information about the chipset.
Could you send us the register sets for the BCM54610 and BCM89610. The OEM guide NVIDIA Jetson TX2/TX2i OEM Product Design Guide“, P. 36: says BCM54610C1IMLG and the tx2-series-interface-tuning-compliance-testing-guide P.57 linked the BCM89610.

However, anyone has the a description of the register sets for the PHY? Especially for setting the network verfication tests.
In the tuning guide, two registers are named, but without any description.

Best regards,
Sascha

Hi, BCM89610 is automotive grade of BCM54610, they are same for user. As you can see in tuning guide:http://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/dlc/tx2-series-interface-tuning-compliance-testing-guide, mdio can be used as tool to w/r register to output test waveform. For registers description or other registers usage, please contact with vendor for the datasheet.

Hi,

we’re using the LeCroy QPHY-1000Base-T1 equipment, and as you see on the screenshot we need to know which test can be started with the register maps, described in the tuning guide?

For Jetson, running the mdio commands as listed in guide should be able to output test mode waveform.

Hi,

ok. I got some information from broadcom, but according to the NDAs I can’t share.
The mode given in the NVIDIA document describes: 1000 Mbit/s , Full Duplex, Test Mode 1, Phy as Master
