U79 on Carrier board ( EFM8SB10F8G )

We are developing a Xavier carrier board.
What is the function of U79?
Can we design the pcb without this device ?
Can we get the software source to program by ourselves ?

Hi, U79 is power button supervisor to control ON/Enable signals to the module PMIC and main processor. It is programmed already on dev kit. It is not must for custom design, you can check the power sequence and use other design to implement it.

But ,if we will implement the same solution , can we get the program of this controller?

That will have a conclusion in future, before that, you can take the power sequencing in OEM DG as reference to design the circuit.
