Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS some apps freezing

nvidia-bug-report.log (477.7 KB)

Pycharm and the default Ubuntu terminal are freezing with 550, 545, 535, 4760 drivers.

The log file is truncated and doesn’t contain most important info. Please switch to the 550 driver and create a new one after a freeze occurs.

updated to 23 Ubuntu and 550 driver

You’re using a very outdated version of nvidia-bug-report.sh, v2074027, should be v33751943. The generated logs are worthless. Please use ‘which’ to see if you’re using some old file in an odd location.

Now the logs are fine, all included. I can’t see any crashes, though. The nvidia specific logs date back to the April, 21st. Did a freeze occur since then?

yup, I have permanent freezes with some applications

  1. Pycharm and terminal in
  2. Default Ubuntu Terminal

For example, Chrome works nice.

With nouveau driver without freezes but only 60 hz and windows open with jerks, no smoothness

Looking at the logs again, the keyboard seems to go on and off, tried a different keyboard?

trying 3 different keyboard, the same problem, only pycharm and terminals freezing
