nvidia-bug-report.log.gz (343.9 KB)

Incorrectly created VM. Please delete it and create a new one, explicitly selecting EFI boot intead of BIOS boot.

Okay, I will try to recreate the virtual machine started by EFI later, and then install the driver. Did you draw the conclusion from reading the logs?

Yes, dmesg says this:

[ 2.059673] kernel: NVRM: This PCI I/O region assigned to your NVIDIA device is invalid:
                       NVRM: BAR1 is 0M @ 0x0 (PCI:0000:0b:00.0)
[ 2.063203] kernel: NVRM: The NVIDIA probe routine failed for 1 device(s).
[ 2.063606] kernel: NVRM: None of the NVIDIA devices were initialized.

and lspci says this:

0000:0b:00.0 3D controller [0302]: NVIDIA Corporation GA102GL [A40] [10de:2235] (rev a1)
	DeviceName: pciPassthru0
	Subsystem: NVIDIA Corporation GA102GL [A40] [10de:145a]
	Region 0: Memory at fc000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16M]
	Region 1: Memory at <unassigned> (64-bit, prefetchable)
	Region 3: Memory at e4000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=32M]

which points to the wrong boot method used.

After changing the startup method, nvidia smi can output normally. Thank you very much. This solution is effective
