Ubuntu multihead monitor refresh problem

Hi all,

I have the following issue which is quite annoying. I have two monitors attached to a laptop with an Nvidia GTX 860M. Driver used is 352.63 from graphics-drivers-ubuntu-ppa. System: Ubuntu 15.10

The problem is that when typing in one console on one monitor it works fine but when I move the same console to another monitor, there is a huge delay (0.5-1sec) when typing. Same is true for IDEs for coding or when scrolling a document. Tearing on one monitor, perfect on the other. I searched several forums but nothing helped. Any ideas. Could have something to do with refresh rate? Both monitors are the same model. One connected via VGA, one with HDMI.
