Issue Description: We are using a radar (slave) with 1G Ethernet communication.
We attempted to connect its outputs directly to the H-MTD (1G-T1 Ethernet) interfaces on the Orin platform, specifically:

MGBE-2 (J3)

MGBE-3 (J3, J4)
Please let us know if this setup is correct or if any additional configuration is required.
Note: We are able to successfully communicate via the RJ45 port when using a media converter that acts as the master device, but direct connection does not work

May I know the radar and FW details. Also, could you check Connecting Sensor to 100BaseT Matenet port, and setting the port IP address helps. Please check connecting to 100Mbps ports.
We’re currently working with the new development radar. I attempted the command sudo ifconfig mbe2_0:900 192.168.100.30 || true as suggested in the forum link shared earlier, but we’re still unable to establish communication through the MateNet port.
Do we have to consider any firmware updates for the switches?

The radar we are currently using is not listed in the Ecosystem, it is a new development radar

I would recommend to connect a host machine to target at that port and make sure communication is established to that host after networking changes and then replace host with radar to debug the issue.
The RJ45 (1G-T Ethernet) port on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit is already functioning correctly with our radar when using the media converter. Communication is successfully established in that configuration.
Our issue is specifically with the H-MTD (1G-T1 Ethernet) ports. We are attempting to connect the radar directly to the 1G-T1 interface without using a media converter, but communication cannot be established in this setup.

Could you share the network configurations you have tried when connected to matenet and HMTD quad ports. Also, the connection pictures . Let me check internally on this and get back to you.

Noticed that Switch 2 ports are configured as secondary and can not be configured as primary from DRIVE OS sdk. The recommened option is to use RJ45 port .
