I am unable to enter Recovery Mode on a Jetson Orin NX 16GB Dev Kit. When I short jumpers 9 and 10 and power on the system, it simply boots to the normal NVME system image and the device cannot be recognized in the Nvidia SDK running on my Ubuntu host.
I have had trouble in the past using the USB-C port in the SDK Manager, but normally I have been successful in flashing an image by booting to recovery mode and then using TCP to install the image. However this no longer works. Please advise.
Hi,
Please connect developer kit to your PC through J5, short the two pins(in red) in J14, and power on the developer kit. It shall enter recovery mode.
Thank you for the rapid response. I was able to get it working in normal mode using a different USB cable.
However, the pins you are showing in your image are not the ones I understand to be the correct pins for this purpose. You are showing pins 10 & 11, whereas it is my understanding that the force recovery pins are 9 & 10. I’ve attached a screenshot from Jetson AI Labs at 🛸 Initial Setup (SDK Manager method) - NVIDIA Jetson AI Lab where they are showing pins 9 & 10. As I say, I’m not having this problem any more, but I think your answer should be reviewed.
