Afternoon All,
I’m hoping to get some input on this issue, as so far nobody else has encountered this.
Basically I am struggling to remotely connect to a number of legacy Dell Workstations, which all come equipped with Nvidia Quadro P4000 Graphics Card installed into them - this issue happens when the Monitor attached to the Workstation is in Sleep Mode, or the Monitor’s been physically switched off.
As soon as that happens, you are unable to remotely connect to them, using Ninja Remote or TightVNC (it’s confirmed as previously happening with TeamViewer, but also Datto as well) - the only thing we can connect with, is RDP when we hit this issue, but this is not ideal especially if we want to control the workstation’s actual console.
All of the Workstations are running with Windows 11 Pro x64, fully patched, the device drivers for the Nvidia Quadro P4000 are the latest set from them (Dell Support’s are from 2021), with all Monitor Cabling done via DisplayPort; I’ve also confirmed that they are running with the 1.3, and 1.4 DisplayPort Firmware Update as well.
Has anybody else encountered this issue, and if so please can you confirm what the solution is - right now, all I can see as a fix, would be to installed a Headless Monitor Adapter, but there multiple Workstations across multiple geographical sites. Cheers
