exactly the same you see in the youtube video
Very nice
I’m getting in error trying to run your project. Says a ton of modules are missing.
I have the same errors.
Hi, first: thanks for sharing this! But got a lot of errors too, wants to compile, can’t compile (VC++ 2022 is installed). In the end it starts but after loading it crashes with kernel errors etc. Probably a silly question bit is it supposed to run on an installable version of engine or do i need the locally build one?
Any ETA on this? @MarkusHoHo
UE 5.5 has been out for a while now. Knowing a timeline would be very helpful.
@MarkusHoHo Hi Markus!
Any news about DLLS on UE 5.5? :)
The SDK for DLSS 4 was released a few hours ago (Release DLSS Super Resolution & Ray Reconstruction SDK 310.1.0 · NVIDIA/DLSS · GitHub), maybe the official plugin for Unreal 5.5 will be released sometime soon.
Nvidia has access to Epic’s Github. There is NO Reason for any delays with their budget.
Nvidias being way to slow. Its time to let my fans know nvidias attacking game devs and holding the project up on purpose. Cost them sales on the 40 and 50 series cards.
Shouldn’t take over 4 months to get a plugin update out and the last time before this it took over 6 months
I just wanted to let you know that, due to the delay and lack of clarity regarding the release dates for the Unreal plugin, the game I was working on has been canceled. I hope my situation isn’t the same for others. Honestly, I now feel quite pleased about the 600 billion lost that fateful Monday, when the stock plummeted by 16.9%. Kind regards.
Please try to stay civil in this thread.
We all know that Software Engineering projects can have big unknowns outside of anyone’s control.
People are looking into getting this out, but it is really not as simple as you might think.
I would love to share all the twists and turns of the DLSS plugin over the years, but sadly I cannot.
Thank you, we are just inpatient because AAA studios get all even for UE5 games. We know Indies are out of league .Please also keep that in mind you get less feedback with informations what can be improved or what does not work. That is also opportunity to have a better product. All the best to the Team. Cross fingers and Wish you deliver as soon as possible!
Please do share. We are all software engineers here and Streamline is already an open-source project; you are stating that it is not as simple as it appears. I’m really curious what is so difficult about updating plugin to use updated low-level engine calls in UE5.5 is so difficult that it takes longer than 4 months to do? I have manually updated UE5.4 version to UE5.5 and didn’t encounter anything that wasn’t trivially easy to do. But I would have preferred to use official 5.5 version for the demo release (SteamNext fest in 20 days). I just don’t see how this goes from me, a random engineer that didn’t have any prior experience with DLSS/Streamline before fixing compatibility in 1 hour to multi-trillion-dollar company needing more than 4 months. Sure, my upgrade may not be perfect, but it’s not like Epic completely rewrote engines renderer from 5.4 to 5.5, this really shouldn’t take 4 months to do.
And it really doesn’t paint a good picture when even Nvidia themselves can’t integrate DLSS to most popular game engine in over 4-month time.
I want to clarify some things here, reason why we are frustrated is because all know Nvidia could have EASILY updated DLSS to 5.5 even before 5.5’s official launch if they wanted to. Fortnite is already running UE5.6 and runs DLSS perfectly fine. Worst you could have done is collaborating with Epic to maintain DLSS integration together.
Still no update? I don’t understand, you’re one of the biggest company in the world and you are telling me that it takes months to update a plugin that in other engine is literally a drop in replacement of the DLL.
Can you at least give us the gist of the problem? It would be fine to have DLSS 3.8, but given that is possible to update it with the Nvidia App, I really don’t see how can it take so long.
. + for some transperancy about the plugin’s status with 5.5 release.
Between a lack in help responses anytime I come to these forums with questions(questions pending I have never gotten answers to), that nightmare of a 5090 release where my Microcenter had only 9 despite 300 people being in line hours before store opening and the massive amounts of time to get DLSS released for Unreal I have to say, I’m pretty annoyed with Nvidia.
on the nvidia/rtx/dls page it says: DLSS 4 is coming soon to Unreal Engine through our official DLSS Unreal Engine plugin.
Hi @paolofalomo I hope you are well. Could you make the original DLSS 3.7.20 for UE5.3 SDK available for download? Nvidia removed the link from its download page and I can’t find a backup anywhere on the web. Tks in advance.
