# "Unsupported board!" installation issue - install script mismatch with jetpack r39.2.0

Hi, I’m trying to install jetpack r39.2.0 on two new Thor Developer kits. Installation media works fine and the install process starts but I have issues installing:

Upon examination of the script “jetsoniso\_setup.bash” it contains the following:

`CHIPID="0x26"`

This suggests that my board is reporting itself as `NVIDIA Jetson Thor Developer Kit` but the script requires it to be `NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor Developer Kit` so installation is failing. Why is my board not matching what the script requires?

/sys/firmware/devicetree/base/model contains:

`NVIDIA Jetson Thor Developer Kit^@`

I could obviously edit this but this doesn’t seem the most robust solution?

I had the same problem with my new unit, the instructions are unclear. You need to check what the version your Thor is running, then use the same jetsoninstaller version matching your FW version to install the OS. Then the installer will upgrade the FW.

I had to install 38.4 first via [Jetson Linux Archive | NVIDIA Developer](https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/jetson-linux-archive) , then upgrading to 39.2 work well since the model is changed to the expected value.
