Update jetpack without host pc

Please provide complete information as applicable to your setup.

• Hardware Platform (Jetson / GPU) Jetson Xavier nx

I have a system in which the Jetpack version is 4.2.1 and I want to update it to 4.6.1.
Can I update the jetpack without the host pc?

This looks like Xavier NX related. We are moving this post to the Xavier NX forum to get better help.

No, you need to have a host PC with Ubuntu 18.04 to install the SDK manager, then use it to flash your Xavier NX via the JetPack.

If your NX is a SD card version, then you can refer to SD Card Image Method at JetPack SDK 4.6.1 | NVIDIA Developer to prepare tje SD card for your device.

Your jetpack version is a little too old for OTA upgrade. So you have to flash it.

@WayneWWW which version of jetpack support OTA upgrade?

Please just use SDK manager to reflash your device to JetPack 4.6.1 directly.

@kayccc Thanks for your reply. There are some scenarios in which we can’t connect jetson to the host pc directly. Jetson is deployed in a remote location.

But your jetpack version is a little too old for OTA upgrade, I don’t think there is other way to do.

From which version does jetson support OTA upgrade?

Around jp4.5, I remember. This has been for like 1~2 years ago.
