Update NVIDIA drivers on FreeBSD 14.2

First I asked my question here:

If you care to look, you’ll see the person there told me to come here and ask. I 'm guessing this is the wrong place too but what the hell here goes nothing…

I’m trying to update the drivers on my FreeBSD 14.2 box. I’m setting up a server and did not install the GUI. This is going to be a strictly command line only server. I would just like to be able to adjust the resolution to a more comfy setting.

Specs:
FreeBSD FreeBSD 14.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 14.2-RELEASE releng/14.2-n269506-c8918d6c7412 GENERIC amd64

vendor = ‘NVIDIA Corporation’
device = ‘GM204 [GeForce GTX 970]’
class = display
subclass = VGA

I downloaded the following and followed the instructions to no avail:

Now that I have them downloaded and extracted on my machine, I just need to know how to install them. The instructions on the aforementioned web page didn’t work. I’m no Unix/Linux guru so I need a bit of help with the rest.

Freebsd isn’t linux.

Really?!?!

You had no actual helpful information but felt compelled to reply anyhow to tell me “FreeBSD is not linux”

Perhaps that’s why in my original post I said (and I quote) “Unix/Linux” You saw the “Unix” part…right?
