I intend to update the DGX A100.
I am currently using DGX OS 5 and plan to update to DGX OS 7.
Could you tell me how the process should proceed?
I understand that to update to DGX OS 7, I must first go through DGX OS 6.
If so, what about the firmware?
I do not know the exact firmware version for DGX OS 5, but I will assume it is 20.05.12.

The path is to update the firmware first. The latest I see for A100 and DGX OS 7 is 26.2.1. You are correct that you have to update to DGX OS 6 first according to the installation/upgrade guide. You may consider reimaging (installing from ISO without preserving existing OS) if that is an option.
Since this latest firmware doesn’t support the current operating system you’ll have to update the firmware using the ISO image method as documented here.

In that case, would it be correct to understand the overall flow as follows?
□ DGX A100 (DGX OS 5) → Firmware Update (ver 26.2.1) → OS Update (DGX OS 6) → OS Update (DGX OS 7)
Having to update both the Firmware and the OS to upgrade from a lower version to the latest version is very tricky for me.
