Why can’t compute capabilities be updated similar to a bios flash? Perhaps current hardware doesn’t allow but do-able for the future? V.
Compute capability is fixed for a given GPU, right? So, how can you update it?
Yeah, compute capability is purely hardware dependant. Additional CUDA functionality can be (and often is) added through new CUDA versions but the hardware can only do what the hardware can do.
