Upgrading CuDNN from v6 to v7

The docs say that “cuDNN v7 can coexist with previous versions of cuDNN, such as v5 or v6.” but I could not find any resources on how exactly to achieve this. Can someone point me in the right direction, please?

Current Environment:
Ubuntu 14.04
CUDA 8.0.61-1
cuDNN 5.1.10-1+cuda8.0

I’m sure there are multiple methods.

One method would simply be to use the .tgz files, unzip those, and put the v5 v6 v7 versions where ever you want. Study all the different download choices on the cudnn download page at developer.nvidia.com
