USB connection to Arduino issue with AGX Xavier

Dear NV team,

USB assignment for external Arduino seems to be reset once in a while
after the AGX is turned off and turned on. The Arduino is not detected
by the AGX and we need to redo the USB assignment all over again.

Please advise.

Sorry for the late response, has this issue been resolved or till need support?

Hi kayccc,

Not yet, any advice, please?

Thanks,
andrewli

What kind of “truned off” is that on xavier? Power saving?

Hi WayneWWW,
Yes, it’s power saving.

Thanks
andrewli

But the power on/off should just be the display. For example, even the “power saving” happens, you should still able to access the board through ethernet. Also, you can check the power indicator LED of your keyboard and mouse, it should still be powered on even in your so-called “power saving” mode.

Please check above behavior on your side first.

Hi WayneWWW,

Thanks. This issue is for USB detection issue not Ethernet. As the customer turns to another project, I will try to find an Arduino to test it later on.

Thanks,
andrewli

Hi,

Ethernet is just a example to tell you that power saving is only for the display. The other I/O is still working.
What I want to say is vbus on usb should be still powered-on, so I don’t think this is due to the usb driver of tegra side. As I said, you can tell it from the usb keyboard and mouse on your side.
