USB Type-C PD Controller (CYPD4226) Startup Failure in UFP

Hi NV Support Team,

Our project architecture references the NV Jetson Orin development board, and we have developed a one-port Type-C PD board using the same PD controller, CYPD4226. After flashing the CYPD4226 image provided on the NV website to the external PD flash, we found that the CC pin communication was not completed, which caused VBUS to be unable to rise to 20V.

Since our architecture only has one port for PD, some pins of the PD controller are floating. I would like to ask if these floating pins could cause any impact?

The image below shows the Orin EVK circuitry, with the yellow-highlighted pins in a floating state in our architecture.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,
Woody

Hi, please check with PD controller vendor for the design since this kind of single port design is not validated by us.
