I can confirm from another thread that a simple usd file can be imported with materials included.
However, when I opened the usd file of Ominiverse’s sample USD EXPLORER SAMPLE 3D MODELS PACK with the ImportAllMaterials setting, Blender froze and did not finish the import no matter how long it took.

Does this mean that there is a limit to the total size including materials?

By the way, if ImportAllMaterials is unchecked, it imports fine.

The operating environment is as follows. The specs are sufficient, and there was more than 10GB of RAM remaining during import.

Processor Intel(R) Core™ i9-14900KF 3.20 GHz
RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)
GPU RTX4060Ti
Blender v.4.0.2
