Use of nVidia Grid with Hyper-v 2012R2 Core and Microsoft Terminal Services

Hello, I work at a company that does IT consultation, network design and implementation, and service hosting. We have a number of clients using our hosted Microsoft Terminal Services, ranging from Server 2008r2 to 2012r2, all hosted on Hyper-V 2012R2 servers. We are interested in the possibility of adding Grid GPUs to our hosts to boost the performance for our end users. I’ve been reading up a bit on the possibility but so far it seems as if it works mostly for VDI systems. Will this also boost performance for users in a Terminal Server environment?

Leveraging Microsoft RemoteFX you can leverage GRID and provide GPU to give your end users an enhanced experience. Keep in mind that RemoteFX supports up to the latest versions of DirectX (v11) but does not offer current OpenGL support (only v1.1). So its critical that any apps being hosted/shared are properly supported. Our landing page offers information (http://www.nvidia.com/object/remotefx.html) and see Microsoft’s site for details on RemoteFX. As always, only use certified servers for the K1/K2 cards (How to buy NVIDIA Virtual GPU Solutions | NVIDIA).
