Hey, y’all. I’ve got a new box.
It has an i915 and an RTX A6000 in it. It beets with the AI board as it’s primary display, but I want to use it for AI, not rendering my desktop.
There is a bios setting ( the board is an MSI Pro Z690-A ) that I think will make the i915 primary, but the bios is never real clean abou twhat things mean … so the question is, is there any risk to ( if I can ) making the big honkin card secondary?
Guy who built it seemed concerned, but this is the first AI box he’s done. As of yet the only kernel able to see both boards was the Gentoo kernel … which is the distro I will probably use, partiall for that reason, partally just because I don’t trust software that I didn’t build that much .
Any thoughts on this?
