Using xorg.conf breaks 3D

Hi!

I’m Using Debian 9 Buster. I installed the Nvidia drivers from Debian non-free repository. I noticed that I only using 2D graphics and 3D is not working. I googled some and find that I could get 3D to work if i remove xorg.conf and it did. I could be happy with that but I want to use “Force Composition Pipeline” to remove tearing. This setting should be set in xorg.conf if you want it to be permanent.

Is the xorg.conf no longer being used or is there another problem?

My GFX is a GTX 1060 6GB
Driver version is 390.8x

Would be happy for some help.

I attached the bugreport to my first post.

Please add to the Files Section of your xorg.conf

ModulePath "/usr/lib/nvidia/current"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"

Im gonna have to try this in a couple of days. Going away on a trip. Thanx for your help!

Thank you!
That works great.
