Using yum instead of apt when running an EC2 Instance

Hi,

I am trying out different options for running NVIDIA TAO. I’ve been able to use it on Google Cloud, but have lately been running into issues where I can’t connect due to lack of availability. I am now instead trying out running TAO on AWS. I have just started up the VM, and wasn’t able to run the command specified in the documentation:

sudo apt upgrade

I saw on stack exchange Amazon Linux uses yum instead of apt. I was just confused since the Nvidia documentation for using TAO on AWS has the apt command: Running TAO on an AWS VM

Does this imply I’ve set up something wrong? Or should the Nvidia documentation be updated?

Thanks,
Andrew

Please check the instance to make sure to use Ubuntu system.
