Validating short

In possession of a JETSON Orin which I tried to power by splicing into a DC power source. The source gives off 12V. It’s possible that I flipped positive and negative wires feeding into the USB-C power cable. There was no light, smoke, heat, or sound, but the signal light no longer turns on, even when plugged in to the original charger.

Does that mean that it was shorted?

I know colors aren’t standard, but in the W,Blu,Blk charger I used, I tried these configurations:

Pos — Neg

W — Blk
Blu — Blk
W,Blu — Blk
W — Blu, Blk

Yes, it could be shorted. You can measure the current to confirm.

Ok, where can I measure the current?

The system current.
