Video stream osd delay

Hardware Platform (Jetson / GPU) NX
• DeepStream Version 6.01
• JetPack Version (valid for Jetson only) 4.6
• TensorRT Version 8.0

I am running test5 app, I tried a HDMI adapter’s yuy2 stream(ub570pro, Taiwan Co.) as video stream input, and found my osd delayed around 200ms, I want to improve the realtime performance.
My question is which stream format is the best way for deepstream to reduce the delay? Or how should I configure the adapter’s stream format for deepstream?
Thank you much.

You need to use the latest DeepStream version 6.1.1 GA.

The nvdsosd performance has nothing to do with stream format. We will work to improve it.

thanks for quick reply.

How did you measure the latency?

What is the FPS of the whole pipeline? You can measure the FPS with the method DeepStream SDK FAQ - Intelligent Video Analytics / DeepStream SDK - NVIDIA Developer Forums.

Another question:

Does Jetson NX support the YUYV stream HW-engines NVDEC decoding?
If it does, please how?

There is no update from you for a period, assuming this is not an issue anymore.
Hence we are closing this topic. If need further support, please open a new one.
Thanks

What do you mean? NVDEC is to decode H264 or H265.
