I have a media industry customer that currently uses Harmonic hardware appliances to transcode MPEG2 media to MPEG4. They would like to virtualize this function and they are wondering if GPU offload technologies can help to speed this process up. I don’t really see any reference to GPU offload in the reference architectures I am looking at (linked below). Has anyone had any exposure to VVI and if so knows if there is any NVIDIA technology that help to optimize the process?
