vMotion and different NVIDIA GPU models

Hello.

I’m thinking of buying a P40 card for new vmware ESXi server. Actually I have one with M60 card.
My idea is create one vmware cluster with two servers and the latest 6.7 version in order to have HA enable and VM vmotion capability.
After rewiew some documentation I don’t reach the conclusion that it’s possible to execute VM vmotion between servers with powered on Virtual Machines, one server with M60 and another with P40 card.

If you’re going to migrate active VMs with a GPU attached, both hosts need to be identical.

So, if I understood correctly between M60 and P60 active vmotion is not possible.

That’s Correct. You need 2x servers with identical GPUs in each.
