Hi,
You may run arecord or aplay command to make sure the device is good first.
Reference commands:

$ aplay -Dhw:1,0  test_stereo_44100Hz_16bit_PCM.wav
$ arecord -D hw:1,0 -c2 -d 10 -r 44100 -f S16_LE a.wav

No sound
