VPI questions

Hello,

can VPI for Python be used with a PC under Windows 11 ? If the answer is YES, how can i install VPI with windows ?

Anyway, i will try VPI with my Jetson Xavier NX. VPI algorithms are really interesting and seem very fast.

In the near future, will you add new functions we can find in numpy (percentile calculation for example), opencv (like threshold), classical operations with 2 images (add, substract, AND, OR) or things like that ?

Do you plan to add noise removal routines like Fast NLM2 or KNN ?

I would also be interested with contrast CLAHE function.

Many thx for your Response.

Alain

Hi,

VPI doesn’t support Windows currently.

There are some new features available in VPI 2.2 for your reference:

Thanks.

Hello AastaLLL,

Many thanks for your reply. Good to ear VPI is alive.

If one day VPI can work with Windows, it would be great.

Alain

Hi,

Windows support is in our future plan but no concrete schedule yet.
Thanks.

Ok. That’s good news.

If NVidia wants to discuss with me about VPI development and new functionality, I am ok. I could have some proposals.

Alain

Hi,

Thanks.
Will let you know if our internal team asks for feedback on the new feature.

Hello,

any news about Windows support for VPI ?

Hello,

i am coming back concerning VPI and Windows. I hope things are goring the good way.

It would be also interesting if VPI could easily CUPY arrays instead of PIL arrays. PIL is not really fast and CUPY could be a better choice.
