Warning appears while uninstalling Nsight: Could not remove Shortcut

Summary

While uninstalling Nsight, a warning may appear with the following text: “Warning 1910. Could not remove Shortcut Nsight HUD Launcher 3.0.lnk. Verify that the shortcut file exists and that you can access it.”

Known Causes

This issue is caused by a bug in the Microsoft Installer. It may occur removing Nsight after installing new NVIDIA graphics drivers.

Solution

The warning is harmless, and the file will be properly removed after the user clicks “OK”.
