If you have or are considering the Waveshare Nano metal case, be aware that it has a gap between the case and the microUSB (J28) connector on the board, and this will prevent many microUSB cables from working properly. In my case (pun intended) I just wasted a couple of hours debugging USB Ethernet - which I thought was the macOS 10.15 driver issue - only to discover all three cables I tried didn’t quite connect properly (I got extcon-gpio-states connect/disconnect dmesg logs, but not data…).
The case I received also had the lid folded incorrectly, resulting in the fan vents in the wrong place. Both these issues are readily fixed with a drill.
