Hi, there is a mention of this in the 2024.1 release notes, but looks like it never made it into the docs. I’ll make sure it gets into the docs. It says:
The timeline shows a red striped overlay in regions with missing data. This is useful for identifying truncated traces, or to identify regions where external processes’ GPU contexts were running.
Do you see another context in the “GPU Contexts” row for that region? It could be due to a context running from another process. It can also happen if your own app has a D3D11 (or older D3D version) context in that area.
