I have a 4090 and 128GB or RAM. Why is USD presenter so slow! Im up at 100 FPS, and I go to the turntable. The real-time renderer is chunking along at a whopping 0.92 FPS!!! USD Composer has no problem with any of the renders…
The turntable is not designed the same way as simply viewing an object using the “orbit” command. When spinning around a model in realtime using orbit, the GPU is free to move around static geometry, and the results are very very fast. The turn table is the opposite of that. It keeps the view stable and actually rotates the usd geometry in real time. This is very very cpu instensive and does not really use the GPU at all. The more objects you select, and the more complex the geometry, the slower the response speed. It is not designed to rotate an entire model or scene, but just a small component of a larger scene.
