What is the difference between Linux-tegra kernel and Kastner kernel?

Hi everyone,
I’m working on a project in which Jetson AGX-xavier is used. This AGX has 4.9.201-tegra kernel on which the project runs. However, other AGXs used have a custom Kernel (4.9.108-kastner ) and i’ve been asking ans searching the difference of these kernels or in other words what are the effects of running a software on a kernel that is different from the one that it works on.

Are you asking that you have a kernel (4.9.108-kasner) and you don’t know where it came from and what is built inside of it?

You can check /proc/config.gz to see if it provides a list.
