What is the importance of the experimental kms-modifiers in Gnome (Mutter) for NVIDIA GPUs?
I ask because it is set as a requirement for acceleration for Xwayland programs when using Gnome over Wayland, but it’s still and Gnome experimental feature and no distro that I’m aware of enable it nor users are fully aware of it.
What does it change? What does it fix? What are the advantages to have it enalbed (if any)?

when features move from experimental to what’s called “stable” then we can qualify it as advantageous, but until then it will probably cause your apps to crash, so unless your a developer that can debug new experimental features you typically want to avoid them. If you find their website I’m sure you can find more information about it, like in the developer section

I’m not asking for advice on using the feature nor speculation about what could or no happen with that.
but thanks, I try it.
