What is "VPS" in "PVA0_VPS" short for?

Hello!

I’m currently looking at the Programmable Vision Accelerator and is really wondering what “VPS” in “PVA0_VPS” is short for?

Vision ProceSsor?
Vision Processing Subsystem?

The information doesn’t seem to be available anywhere.

Would calm my mind to know. :)

Hi, could you tell at where you see the “VPS”?

Generally, it means Virtual P-States (VPS) that is to save power without significant decrease in performance. This will be achieved in software by rapid transitions between P-States.

I see it when I check the nvpmodel.

< PARAM TYPE=CLOCK NAME=PVA0_VPS >
MAX_FREQ /sys/devices/platform/13e40000.host1x/16000000.pva0/acm/clk_cap/pva0_vps
MAX_FREQ_KNEXT /sys/devices/platform/13e40000.host1x/16000000.pva0/acm/clk_cap/pva0_vps

< PARAM TYPE=CLOCK NAME=PVA0_AXI >
MAX_FREQ /sys/devices/platform/13e40000.host1x/16000000.pva0/acm/clk_cap/pva0_cpu_axi
MAX_FREQ_KNEXT /sys/devices/platform/13e40000.host1x/16000000.pva0/acm/clk_cap/pva0_cpu_axi

PVA0_VPS MAX_FREQ 307200000
PVA0_AXI MAX_FREQ 217600000

AXI in PVA0_AXI I figured out stands for Advanced eXtensible Interface, but want to know what VPS stands for here. Can’t be Virtual P-States (VPS), right? Since the frequency is set.

It is Vector Processor Subsystem (VPS) of Programmable Computer-Vision Accelerator (PVA) here.
