Yes, that’s correct. But now current argus have issue to support above 6 cameras. We are still working to fix it to support to 12 sensors with virtual channel.

If you want to get 8 or 12 outputs from a single input source, this could be possible by creating N number of OutputStreams for single input CaptureSession based on your requirement.

For reference you can check multiStream sample provided in tegra_multimedia_api/argus/samples in which the single camera input source is used for concurrently capturing jpeg images as well as streaming using OpenGL renderer.
