Please refer to Jetson Roadmap | NVIDIA Developer

At the GTC 2022, it was said the Jetpack 5.0 will be available starting tomorrow. But still cant find any download links.

Will it be selectable from the SDK Manager or will a new update of the SDK Manager be provided? Also, the roadmap cites March as release date, shall we expect it by March 31st?

@hiren.patel2 and @marco.zorzi1 JetPack 5.0 Developer Preview will be available on March 30/31st. Because of few issues, we had to push to March end.
SDKM 1.7.3 which is available today will support JetPack 5.0 Developer Preview when released (i.e, it will show JetPack 5.0 Developer Preview in the drop down)

Hey @suhash do you know if this is yet planned for today? And will cuda containers eg. nvcr.io/nvidia/cuda:11.6.0-devel-ubuntu20.04 be compatible or we’ll still need l4t containers? I see that l4t containers got an upgrade for jetpack 4.6.1 ( r32.7.1)

Tensorflow/pytorch wheels are not relased yet though their tree is available now

@alborotogarcia we decided to pull in some last minute fixed. JetPack 5.0 is now targeted for April 5th.
For Jetson, we have seperate CUDA and TensorRT containers

We will release thos containers for JetPack 5.0 with the release along with L4t base container.

will the link be added to this thread or is there a different thread to watch to find out when and where to get the next release

Will this be available for the tx2-4g product?

nvidia jetpack 5.0 - Google Search :)

TX2 modules were said to not be supported by Jetpack 5.0

Today is April 5
Is still not there
Please don’t delay again

Agreed. @suhash any updates? The AGX Orin is theoretically in customers’ hands and yet no JetPack supporting it is released. I hope this is still targeted for today.

While we’re refreshing nv-tegra looking for new stuff can I just point out that the homepage is still a broken Gerrit instance? I feel like this should not be the homepage of a public source site:

@alborotogarcia JetPack 5.0 Developer Preview Release will be a public release. So it will appear in SDK Manager. No special registeration or approval required.
Thank you for your patience. We wanted to make sure we fix critical bugs and hence the delay. JetPack 5.0 Developer Preview will be released on April 7th.

@makinbacon21 and @leonpano. Thank you for your patience. We are making sure we are fixing critical bugs for this developer preview release. We should be wrapping up soon and release it on April 7th. I appologize for the delay and i am sure you want to get going with AGX Orin.

I had some problems yesterday on my AGX Xavier and Xavier NX dev kits. I did an update / upgrade and some container code of mine stopped working. Specifically, the container runtime seems to have stopped mounting /usr/local/cuda/samples into the L4T containers. As of yesterday it looked like it was still Jetpack 4; I’m hoping JetPack 5 will clear this up.

I also have a Nano dev kit, and I don’t want to maintain two sets of images. Will a JetPack 5 image run in a JetPack 4 host? Will a JetPack 4 host run in a JetPack 5 host?

I don’t have so much money to buy Orin (is almost *4 times expensive then agx Xavier)
And my jetson board I use it more like ai learning pc
For me production stability is not first place

let’s see today
Please don’t delay again! Please!!!
