I am the one encountering the same problem. When I open a local .usd file (not in Nucleus) in Isaac Sim, there will be warnings above and then show “Request through cache failed. Retrying without cache”. After over twenty minutes the scene will be loaded, which should be loaded in several seconds.

The ‘/.local/share/ov/pkg/isaac_sim-2022.2.1/kit/exts/omni.kit.window.filepicker/data/thumbnails/usd_stage_256.png’ the warning mentioned is actually the icon of .usd file, which I guess is one of the reasons for loading slow.
The .usd file I need to load is as below. It uses some material in Isaac Sim, like the glass material mentioned in the warning. When loaded, some of the components using the Isaac material turn red.
Besides, when I start Isaac Sim from vscode using omni_python, the scene will be stuck in a few steps with the warning below. It seems due to loading the Isaac assets (beta) slowly. The whole GUI fails to respond and I have to force quit.

I have reinstalled the Omniverse but the problem exists. Could you figure out where the problem lies?
