Whitelisting app for nVidia Ansel

I am a unity developer.

I am interested in using the official unity Nvidia Ansel package from here:

However when I run it, I get the following error:

“Ansel is not available or enabled on this platform. Did you forget to whitelist your executable?”

I have looked into “whitelisting” apps, but I don’t have an nVidia ansel folder in program files, or an “nvcamera” exe file, so the tutorials that I have found don’t work.

I am using up to date drivers, geforce experience, and my GPU is a 980 TI. I am using unity 2019.3.

How do I whitelist my custom unity project, or whitelist all projects?

Open your command prompt and run NvCameraEnable.exe whitelisting-everything
You’ve gotta type the path to the exe first though, on mine I type this, the “” are needed

“C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Ansel\NvCameraEnable.exe” whitelisting-everything

Thanks for your reply!

I actually solved this already. I realised that to get Ansel working I needed to run my project in a build (not in the editor) AND completely shut down the unity editor.

When the editor was running Ansel didn’t work, even if I was running my project in a standalone build. I’m guessing it had something to do with the fact that unity debug builds can connect to the editor at run time?

Anyway, it seems to be more or less ok now, thanks!
